Studio M: Sparking Creativity, An Art Teacher Invitational

The Massillon Museum’s Studio M will host a new exhibition, Sparking Creativity: An Art Teacher Invitational, from October 13 through November 26.

The public is invited to meet the artists, view their work, and enjoy refreshments at the exhibition opening on Friday, October 13, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Fred F. Silk Community Room of the Massillon Museum.  The party is free and open to all. Reservations are not required.

Visitors to the Sparking Creativity Studio M opening will also be able to view Stark County in the Great War, Paul Brown: Innovator, Wild (Mid)West, and the Immel Circus exhibitions.

The Studio M exhibition may be seen through September 27 during regular Museum hours, Tuesday through Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.  Anderson’s in the City, the lobby café; a vintage photobooth; and the Museum shop, OHregionalities, are located in the Massillon Museum’s first floor.

Studio M enhances the collaboration between the Museum and the community by showcasing the artistic talents of local, regional, and national artists.  The series of shows will continue throughout the year, selected by jurors from proposals submitted by artists.  Guidelines and an application are available by contacting the Massillon Museum at 330-833-4061 or massillonmuseum.org.

The Massillon Museum is located at 121 Lincoln Way East (Ohio Route 172) in the heart of downtown Massillon.  A visit to the Massillon Museum is always free.
