Velma B. Erwin Research Library project

Archivist Mandy Pond and Librarian Dr. Tammy Kay Bixler-Zalesinsky have been working to organize the research library of the Massillon Museum since May 2012. With the assistance of library volunteers Lois McHugh, Barb Seward, Gayle Theiss, interns Liz Rinehart and Holly Smith, that inventory is finally complete. Tammy is now assigning a Dewey Decimal number to each book, and volunteers are putting the books into Past Perfect, our collections database.

Along the way, we've found some interesting items!
Stay tuned for updates in the coming months!
