Originating in Japan, Gyotaku is a form of printmaking using fish.  Students will learn this form of block printing with nature and fish, as well as traditional forms of block printing

Paint Like Rousseau: Jungle Painting with Diane Gibson
2:30 to 4:30 pm  -  Grades 1–5  -  $13 Member / $15 Non-member  -  Register by June 14
Use acrylic paint to make a jungle picture like Henri Rousseau, while learning about this famous artist

Bring a chair or blanket (no food or beverage may be brought in)
Island food and beverages for sale (pulled pork and jerk chicken sandwiches, Red Stripe beer and much more)
Music by Carlos Jones and the P.L.U.S. Band with an appearance by the Jackson High School Steel Drum Band
Limbo, hula hoops, and light sticks will entertain children  -  Ship Trip drawing for a Great Lakes freighter cruise
