Massillon History: Mapping Out Early Massillon & Kendal

Archivist Mandy Altimus Pond has been hard at work researching early Massillon (founded 1826) and Kendal (founded 1812) for her upcoming book through Arcadia Publishing's Images of America series. In order to locate early buildings still standing, she has been using Google Maps to plot points of early buildings from 1812-1860. She currently has more than 1,100 locations mapped out. She also delivered a lecture in May 2016 about the historic maps in the collection of Spring Hill Historic Home. Browse through these various historic resources below.
