Guided
Tours
Our trained docents can focus a tour around a particular exhibition, geared
toward topics covered in your curricula or provide a general tour of the
Museum. Guided tours are offered throughout the week, during normal hours
of operation: Tuesdays – Fridays, 9:30 – 5:00pm. Additional
times may be available after hours, on Mondays, or weekends, by special arrangement.

Self-guided Tours
If you would like to bring your class or group in for a Museum visit, and
wish to tour the galleries without a docent, a call to the Museum will suffice.
Please let the desk receptionist know when you are coming and how many students
will be in attendance. Please remember to review the tour size and chaperone
guidelines.

GRANTS FOR TRANSPORTATION, NEW FOR 2010-11!
Thanks to a generous grant from the Albert W. and Edith V. Flowers Charitable
Foundation the Museum will be able to offer fund transportation for some field trips
during the 2011-2012 school year. Please follow this link
for more information on how to apply for funding, or contact Educator Jill Malusky at (330) 833-4061 or
jmalusky@massillonmuseum.org.
How to Schedule a Museum Tour
To request a tour of the Museum, please contact Educator Jill Malusky at (330) 833-4061 or
jmalusky@massillonmuseum.org. Please
allow at least 2 weeks before the date of your proposed tour, and be sure to check our
Exhibitions to see what will be on display when you’d like to visit.
Art+History Projects
An exhibition related hands-on activity can be arranged through the Education
Department to enhance your tour and visit to the Massillon Museum. Sharpie tie dye, Photobooth pictures,
clay Cryptozoology tracks, and Mexican Dia de Los Muertos sugar skulls are just a few of our most
popular art projects! We can tailor an art project to meet your curriculum needs, using themes of art,
science, history or literature.
-The cost for this is $5 per student. The Massillon Museum provides the instructor and supplies for
these activities. Payment may be made in cash, check or credit card.
