“Stark Naked Salon,” which is co-curated by Alexandra Nicholis (Massillon Museum Curator) and Dan Kane (Canton
Repository Arts and Entertainment Writer), will be an eye-popping exhibition featuring the work of eleven emerging
artists from Stark County. The work will literally fill the Museum’s main gallery, floor to ceiling in the style
of the Parisian salons of a century past, but with a clear focus on cutting-edge art of today.
Bili Kribbs, Scot Phillips, Steve Ehret, and Derek Zimmerman of Massillon; Marti Jones Dixon, Nick Brewer, Joseph
Close, and Dylan Atkinson of Canton; Thomas R. Wentling of Brewster; Erin Mulligan from Minerva, and Ron Copeland
of Pittsburgh (formerly of Massillon) will be included in the show.
Opening Night Party: Saturday, August 22 from 6-10pm
“Stark Naked Salon” will open in the Massillon Museum’s main gallery on Saturday, August 22, with a free public
party on the lawn, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. No reservations are necessary.

Brewer’s photo studio.
