Stark County Artists' Exhibition
January 16 - February 28, 2010

The Massillon Museum will celebrate the opening of the annual Stark County Artists Exhibition on Saturday, January 16, 2010, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a reception for the artists in the main gallery.

Present and former Stark County residents and those currently working in Stark County were eligible to enter artwork for the Massillon Museum's juried Stark County Artists Exhibition. All media were considered by the independent jurors— Susan Vincent from SPACES gallery in Cleveland, and Mary Gray, the Director of the Riffe Gallery in Columbus. They selected work to be included in the show as well as the cash awards and honorable mentions to be presented.

They selected 53 works of art by 41 artists from among 264 works submitted by 101 artists. Awards will be announced at 8:00 p.m. on January 16.

The party is free and open to everyone. No reservations are necessary. The exhibition will continue through February 28, 2010.

January 16 will also be the opening night for the Studio M exhibition, “In America’s Wake,” monotype prints by Erica Meuser. The Studio M opening is also free and open to the public with no reservations.
