Photographs by Friends of Relay for Life

Exhibition Opening on Friday, November 7 from 6:00 - 8:00pm

Supporters of Relay for Life of Massillon and Western Stark County will display photographs in the Massillon Museum’s Studio M in an exhibition which opens on Friday, November 7, 2008. The exhibit will showcase photographs by area residents and increase awareness for the Relay for Life effort to raise money for the fight against cancer.

A reception will be held on Friday, November 7, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., in the Massillon Museum’s Fred F. Silk Community Room. Participants and the public are invited to meet the photographers, see their work, and enjoy refreshments. The event is free and open to everyone.

The public may purchase photographs at the opening and throughout the exhibition with a suggested minimum donation of $25. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.

Studio M was initiated to strengthen the collaboration between the Museum and the community by showcasing the artistic talents of local, regional, and national artists. Exhibitions are selected by jurors from proposals submitted by artists. The Studio M show may be seen during regular Museum hours, Tuesday through Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., except when the Silk Room has been reserved for private functions. (The Museum will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 27.)
