Lauren Mascitti's Bio:
Many fans discovered Nashville-based singer/songwriter, Lauren Mascitti, during her appearance on the 2020 season of American Idol, but Lauren has been performing and writing songs since the age of 7.
By the time she was a teen, she was performing six shows a week in Branson, MO with gospel singer (and original Oak Ridge Boy) Gary McSpadden. After earning a degree in nursing, she moved from her hometown of Louisville, OH to Nashville where she has co-written and/or performed with artists such as Pam Tillis, Matraca Berg, Suzy Bogguss, Delbert McClinton, Lonestar, etc.
She performed with Brad Paisley and Shania Twain in a concert honoring her fellow healthcare workers during the pandemic and has appeared on the Grand Ole Opry multiple times. This past year, she opened several shows for Lonestar, including their first headlining show at the Ryman Auditorium. Lauren's most recent album "God Made a Woman" was named to the New York Times and Saving Country Music's Best of 2020 lists and went to #4 on iTunes in country albums sales. She is currently in the studio working on a new project produced by Dean Sams (founding member of Lonestar) set for release later this summer. ASL interpreter provided. Tickets are $10/MassMu member and $12/non-member. Watch out for tickets to go live in late summer!
Hayden Grove's Bio:
While you may know him as a Cleveland crooner from The Voice, Hayden Grove spent his childhood in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, rummaging through his parents’ CD collection and singing along as his headphones blared music from all centuries, styles, and genres. He loved finding new and exciting voices, so much so he started taking voice lessons in the third grade. After finding Harry Connick Jr.’s “Blue Light, Red Light,” Grove fell in love with the standards of the Great American Songbook and its many interpreters.
It was shortly after Grove discovered his love for the standards that Michael Bublé released his self-titled debut album in 2003 and Grove found his musical hero. Grove performed his first standard on stage during his school's sixth-grade talent show: Mack the Knife, from The Threepenny Opera, later made famous by Bobby Darin. After winning the school's award for vocal performance as a senior, Grove was accepted to the Frost School of Music's jazz vocal performance program at the University of Miami in Florida.
Life took Grove on a different path, and he ended up at The Ohio State University to pursue another passion, sports journalism, before eventually ending up in Cleveland, Ohio. His work in college helped him to land a job as a sports reporter covering the Cleveland Browns, Guardians, and Cavaliers for cleveland.com, where he still works today. He was introduced to legendary Cleveland pianist Mike Petrone and the passion for performance was once again set ablaze. While Grove sang with Petrone around Cleveland, he met other musicians, recording engineers and individuals who were willing to help Grove.
Since meeting Petrone in 2016, Grove has recorded three albums. Hayden: The Album, Feeling Good, and Christmas, an EP. Hayden has been featured in Crain's Cleveland Magazine and Cleveland Magazine, has sung the national anthem before a Guardians game at Progressive Field, is a regular vocalist with the 18-piece Skatch Anderssen Orchestra and Dan Zola Orchestra, and has become one of Northeast Ohio's most sought-after vocalists, singing at three to four venues a week across the area. On February 10, 2025, Grove made his national TV debut on NBC's The Voice performing "Mack the Knife" for coaches John Legend, Kelsea Ballerini, Adam Levine, and Michael Bublé.
