Studio M

Artists who are Massillon Museum members may apply for an exhibition in Studio M, located on the second floor of the Museum. Those selected will receive a public reception and will be featured on the Museum’s podcast, MassMusings. A review of exhibition proposals takes place each year, and exhibitions are scheduled two years out. The call for submissions typically posts in late summer and the review takes place during the fall.

Applications are being accepted from July 15, 2026 through September 24, 2026, through Massillon Museum's Submittable site for the 2028 Studio M exhibition schedule.

Studio M Student Exhibitions

Each year, Massillon Museum invites students or recent graduates pursuing a BA/BFA or MFA in studio art at a university in Ohio to apply for two Studio M show slots for the following year. Ohio-based remote students attending schools located out of state will also be considered. Student shows are installed for four weeks each. The initiative connects Museum visitors to artwork by emerging artists in the region.

Student and recent graduate exhibition proposals will be accepted during the summer of 2026 for the first two exhibitions in 2027. The call for submissions typically posts in late summer and applications are reviewed each fall. During each open call, proposals will be accepted through Massillon Museum's Submittable siteApplications are being accepted from July 15, 2026 through September 24, 2026.
