of the Year Award

Fifth Annual Art Educator of the Year & Eighth Annual Music Educator of the Year Awards

Nominations have closed for the fifth annual Art Educator of the Year Award co-sponsored by the Massillon Museum and the Canton Museum of Art, and the eighth annual Music Educator of the Year Award sponsored by the Canton Symphony Orchestra (CSO).  The awards will be presented on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the CSO MasterWorks concert, Mozart's Requiem, at 7:30 p.m.  Winners of the awards will receive a $500 check. 
 
Nominees must be licensed Art or Music Educators in a public, private, or parochial school classroom setting in grades K-12 in the region served by the Stark County Educational Service Center.  Educators from all fields of Music and Visual Arts are eligible.  The honored Educators will be selected from a field of five finalists chosen by a panel of qualified judges from the community.  Former recipients of the award are not eligible to win in consecutive years. 
 
The Massillon Museum, Canton Museum of Art, and Canton Symphony Orchestra are pleased to announce the finalists for the 2024 Art and Music Educator of the Year Awards! We are honored to recognize these talented professionals.

Anyone can nominate a Music or Art Educator for the award.  Nomination forms for the 2025 Educator of the Year Award will be made available in the fall.
